People get involved in gangs for many reasons it all depends on the individual's situation. Some don't have any family and start kicking it with homeboys enough to consider them family. Others just get influenced by the lifestyle of getting a name with respect on the streets. Many feel like they get harassed too much and think a hood is the answer for protection. There's many other reasons why people join gangs, and there's always a story behind it.
